Wolfgang Wiedemann, Managing Director of Sensor-Technik Wiedemann GmbH, will not be standing again as candidate for his current function as Chairman of the Board of the AMA Association, and we officially took leave of him at a celebratory event within the scope of the SENSOR+TEST trade fair.
Mr Wiedemann has been a Member of the Board since 2001, and has headed it since 2009. In his laudatory speech, Mr Scholz, Member of the Board, praised the exceptional services, which Mr Wiedemann had performed for the Association, and his inexhaustible commitment.
The registered AMA Association For Sensors and Measurement (German: AMA Verband für Sensorik und Messtechnik e. V.) unites all those concerned with sensors and measuring technology for physical, chemical, climatic or other measuring parameters. Founded in 1981 as the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft Messwertaufnehmer e.V.” (Working Group for Measurement Value Recorders, reg.) the Association is able to depend today on the specialist competence of approximately 480 member companies and institutes from within the branch. The AMA represents the interests of their members within the economic policy environment.
The successor for Mr Wiedemann is Mr Peter Krause (First Sensor, Berlin).
