The cost-optimized ESX.iot works as a CAN slave module and extends the I/O capabilities of a central control unit. Placed close to sensors or actuators the I/O unit helps to reduce installation effort and the cost and weight in the system. It fulfils safety requirements (PL b) and fits perfectly into offroad machinery used in agriculture, forestry, , construction, mining, or municipal applications. Integration in STW’s openSYDE software tool ensures intuitive system design.

TECHNOLOGIES
The ESX.iot is available in four predefined variants with each variant allowing configuration of inputs by software. The I/O module is controlled by a master unit through the CANopen protocol.
