Ms Katharina Wiedemann, Managing Director of Sensor-Technik Wiedemann GmbH (STW) and Vice President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Swabia, was honored on 12 July 2017 with the Bayerischen Verdienstorden (Bavarian Order of Merit).
Ms Katharina Wiedemann, Managing Director of Sensor-Technik Wiedemann GmbH (STW) and Vice President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Swabia, was honored on 12 July 2017 with the Bayerischen Verdienstorden (Bavarian Order of Merit). The award was bestowed upon her within the scope of a ceremony in the Antiquarium of the Residenz Palace in Munich. The Bavarian Ministerpräsident (State Premier) Horst Seehofer presented awards to 49 people in total. “Through your commitment, you have made this state strong and successful”, said Seehofer to the new award holders. “You represent the master builders of this modern and open Free State of Bavaria”.
The Order of Merit has been bestowed on Ms Wiedemann amongst other things for her entrepreneurial activities and her intensive and long-standing voluntary commitments. Ms Wiedemann takes her obligations towards the company very seriously, but also and to a great extent her obligations towards the general public with regard to social and cultural areas of life and on a municipal-political level.
The Bayerische Verdienstorden has been awarded since 1957. The number of award holders living is limited to 2000; in total there are currently 1,637.
